This year I got to celebrate Mother's Day -- what a fun time!
The Friday of Mother's Day weekend, Peyton started smiling BIG TIME! Perfect timing for our trip to Flagstaff to see all the family. He smiled all weekend long for everyone and was such a cute little dude.
Saturday we drove up to Flagstaff and had a nice dinner out with Steve's family. That night Steve woke up with Peyton so I could get some Mother's Day rest... unfortunately Peyton had a really rough night, waking up constantly! Poor Steve. Well actually, we were all in the room together so I didn't get much rest either. We think Peyton was having trouble adjusting to the altitude and maybe had some altitude sickness. Ginger even got sick the next day, so maybe she was on the same boat as Peyton? Who knows, but thank goodness we're all back to normal now!
On Sunday, my mom and Bob, Julie, Laurie, and Gary all came up to Flagstaff to spend the day with us. Most of Steve's extended family were there and it was a big celebration! I got lots of nice gifts from everyone, including 3 necklaces! It was a necklace-giving kinda day. :) My mom gave me a beautiful necklace with my birthstone. Joan gave me a super cute necklace with Peyton's name & birthdate engraved, and Julie gave me a beautiful heart necklace.
It was an extra special weekend because Peyton met his Great Grandma Jane for the first time! We got a 4 generation picture with Great Grandma Jane, Grandma Joan, Daddy and Peyton.
That night we watched the Suns sweep the Spurs, then everyone headed back to Phoenix.
The celebration continues... I have a massage to cash in and Saturday I got yet another full nights rest. Maybe you're tired of hearing me talk about that, but there's really NOTHING BETTER than that! I think that will be on my wish list for the next year :)
