HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!!!!!

I have so many posts I've been wanting to blog, with this being the most important one:  My Grandma turned 90 years YOUNG last Friday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!  It's amazing at how hip she is and how well she gets around.  You'd never know she's 90.  Who else can say their 90 year old Grandma is actively on Facebook?!  Or reads their blog?!  (She is my biggest inspiration to blog.)

Grandma, I love you dearly and miss you always.  I wish we didn't live so far away, but am thankful for our phone conversations and cannot wait to see you in the Spring and for you to finally meet your Great Grandson.  I love you to the moon and back!

Wish we could've made it!

Three Years & Counting.

Steve and I celebrated our three year anniversary on October 27th!  Three years may not sound like much, but the years go by so fast that I can't even believe it's already been that long!

We went to Red Lobster for dinner with the little man and reminisced about our wedding day.  It was a simple & sweet three year anniversary.

I look forward to MANY, MANY MORE!

Mandy's Pumpkin Party!

And the pumpkin carving continues!  Last Saturday my friend Mandy hosted a pumpkin carving party and it was FaB-U-lOuS!  She moved into a beautiful new home recently and it was decked out in such festive Halloween decor.  It was a great time, thank you Mandy for having us over!

As my friend Megan said, I think October weekends just might be my new favorite!

Fall Colors!

My friend Melanie and I took a day trip to Flagstaff yesterday to check out the fall colors.  Since Phoenix only has one season - HOT, it's nice to actually see what Fall looks like every other year or so.  :)

Steve's Aunt Terri who lives in Flagstaff said we were there at the perfect time, as the leaves are starting to fall.  I think we were too, because it was spectacular!

On the way up the mountain.
The snow mixed in was gorgeous.
The contrast of deep green Pines with gold Aspen's was breath taking!
As we got higher, it got colder!
Almost to the top!

You can see the contrast of weather as we got lower.
Finally, some red trees!

Sitting the Hulihee Brothers!

Peyton had a really long, two-day play date this week.  At least that's more of what it felt like as opposed to a babysitting job!

I watched my friend Megan's 9 month & 3 year old kiddos on Thursday & Friday for the day.  They're truly amazingly good kids!  I always knew this, but I got to experience it first hand.

Big brother Noah has such great manners and it took me by surprise... being served lunch and waiting for me to tell him, "you may eat." At first I had to figure out why he was just sitting there!  Saying, "thank you" for everything.  And the best was during nap time.  He didn't nap, but he did lay in the room until I told him otherwise, without a complaint.  I had papers in piles all over the floor in there, and my first thought was to clear them out, but decided not to.  He didn't touch them, whereas most 3 year olds would've had them spewed across the room.

He looked both ways before crossing the street, and he was a big help.  He loves his little brother Owen and truly cares for baby Peyton.  Once when Peyton cried, he went over to him and gave him a kiss on the forehead and Peyton smiled.  My heart smiled so big.

Then there's Owen, who's crawling everywhere!  He's such a brave boy, who will sleep anywhere without a fuss.  He loves to "play" with Peyton and is so easy going.

His mom and dad are doing everything right.  I can't wait until I get to do this again!

Peyton WAS NOT a fan of the flash!
Poor boy!  He was smiling like this the next morning when I put the camera up, in fear of  the flash!

Oktoberfest!

A little late, but our long time friends held their 7th annual Oktoberfest party a few weekends ago.  It's always a good time and they never fail to amaze us.  They do such a great job with everything - decorations, brats, food, and home brewed beer!  You truly feel like you're in Germany for the night!  :)
