30 Things Every Woman Should Have And Should Know by 30.

I found this article titled, "Turning 30: 30 Things Every Woman Should Have And Should Know by the Time She's 30."

I'm happy I was able to check off *almost* every item on the list, and for the ones I couldn't, I at least previously knew it was something I needed to work on/ should have by now (basically, I wasn't thrown off guard by any of the items.)

This one went through my mind today:  By 30, you should know not to apologize for something that isn't your fault. -- I find myself saying sorry for the stupidest things.  Today I was exchanging a pair of capris at Target when the clerk asked for my receipt (something I didn't have).  Then he asked for the card I bought it on (again, didn't have Steve's card with me).  So he sighed really loud and I said how sorry I was (and it was more than a simple sorry, which is all I should've said).  Ok really, he was POUTING he had to do A LITTLE EXTRA WORK because of that.  Literally one minute later, he was handing me my new pants and I was out the door.  I was SOOOOOO MAD at myself for even saying sorry to the lazy ass who hates to work when he's at work guy... and that's when the quote entered my mind.

I also find myself telling Peyton sorry all the time.  Sorry for bumping his leg on the table, sorry you're upset, sorry this, sorry that.  I know I need to stop, because the last thing I wanna do is pass this down to him.  I don't want to see my son telling everyone sorry all the time!!

Anyway, sorry about that rant.  (HAHA!)  Here's the list, enjoy!

Easter 2012.

I can't believe this was Peyton's third Easter!

It was a lot of fun this year since Peyton understood what was going on.  He had fun dying eggs at my moms house on Friday.  We did his first egg hunt and he picked up what to do right away!

He stacked all the eggs in one cup.  Silly boy.

Friday night we went to an ASU softball game with Steve's parents:

Then we went to Flagstaff Sat-Mon.  He colored eggs again and did another egg hunt.  He got a few Easter baskets and had a fantastic time.  He was just so happy all weekend!

Easter Morn - the bunny left his basket outside...

He walked right past it and didn't see it (or understand it was for him).  We kept asking him where it was and he was pointing "down there"!

 Ohhh! Here it is!!

Dad being silly with the monkey!

Peyton wasn't too fond of peeps (see video below), he ate the chocolate eye's off of them and that was about it.  HA!

Colorful hands after dying eggs!

More egg hunt time!

Brian was so cute, he loved helping Peyton

"My First Peep"

Oh.My.Goodness.  I couldn't help but go down memory lane of Peyton's first Easter.  He was exactly 3 weeks old and looking at the pictures makes it feel like yesterday.  It's funny all the details you remember when you look back at old pictures.  Like seeing what I was wearing reminds me of how I was stressing out on what to wear that day.  Ha!

XOXO

RR Park.

We went to the RR Park last week with Siobhan and Brice.  Peyton was so cute saying "Brice" and it was even one of the first things he said after his nap that day.

It was a breezy and *almost chilly day, so perfect and probably one of the last ones of the year.  However, we're looking forward to spending our days outside at the splash pad now.  It's almost that time!

Memories in the making.

I love this picture I took of Peyton at the park last week.  This was a double slide and I was on the other one.  He was playing peek-a-boo and cracked up every time he saw me.  I propped my camera on the ledge and snapped it right as he saw me.  :)

Here's another cute one I took last night of my dad and Peyton.  They were fixing Peyton's lawn mower and boy was Peyton really into it.  He'd never used a screwdriver before, but was able to use it perfectly!  Engineer in the making??  (like his grandpa?)  :)

Cops 'n Robbers cake pops.

My Mother-In-Law asked if I would make cake pops for her staff.  This past week was Operator Appreciation Week and she wanted me to bring these in on the last day.  She's a 911 supervisor and my FIL is retired from the Phoenix PD.  So these were a must-do!!

Speaking of which, a few months ago I took Peyton to her work and got to listen to 911 calls for about a half hour.  It was a very neat experience.  Interesting to learn how it all works behind the scenes.

Anyway, here's the final result!:

At Two Years Old...

Here's a great idea I saw on Pinterest.  I decided to be completely honest with the list, so I would always remember...

Yes, Peyton loves when I put my bra on!  It started a month ago or so, and as soon as it's on, he begs to be picked up and then he'll play with the straps and he gives me the biggest hugs and cuddles out of the whole day.  I've learned to allot 15 extra minutes during this time for snuggling.  It sounds so creepy weird, I know, but it's the cutest thing in the world to me, because some day this is something that he'll be SO embarrassed about, and to be quite honest, I look forward to the sweet smile he gets on his face and the snuggles that follow.  :)

He's officially obsessed with the modern version of The Little Engine That Could.  If your child hasn't seen it, they will LOVE it.  It's 1 hr, 20 min and he now sits through the whole thing, glued.  There's a song in the beginning that sings, "Choo Chooooo".  Peyton now sings it too, and it's different than his normal choo choo he does when playing.  :)

The wash machine.  Ohhhh, the WASH MACHINE!  He loves to watch it go round n round.  He loves to take any towel or clothing item around and throw it in the machine while it's going.  It's quite gross when I wash my clothes, only to find the greasy towels we used to wash the cars mixed in at the end.  :)

It doesn't take much to realize this kid loves dogs.  Ginger just got back from a week at my moms (she kept her while we were in Flag for Easter, then kept her all week) and boy was he excited to see her!  It's so noticeable that he laughs and plays so much more when she's around... we didn't know it was possible!

Happy Easter!

Last weekend we hopped over to Desert Ridge for a picture with Mr. Rabbit!  This was Peyton's first time seeing him and he wasn't very impressed (as you can tell.)  We haven't talked much with Peyton about the Easter Bunny or shown him pictures (like we do with Santa) so he wasn't familiar with him at all.  It doesn't help that it's a big furry costume and he got scared at the mere sight of his ears.  But, we've talked a lot about him since so he'll be excited for Easter Sunday!

Anyway, after saying, "no! no! no!" and shaking his head every time we tried to put him on his lap, we decided to get in the pic.  =)  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
