I'll tell ya what, if there is ever a quote that I'd like to tell some parents and it couldn't be farther from the truth, this is it:
"If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves."

I ran across this while looking for a quote on "change." I've seen it before, but it really impacted me today. I feel sorry for those kids whose parents don't understand why they are the way they are. If they could take a look at themselves, they'd understand why. Our children are products of us!!
