No matter how well either team does during the season, the last game of the year, Arizona State vs University of Arizona, is always up for grabs! This season, let's admit, ASU has done pretty bad. UofA has done pretty good. But when it comes to this huge rivalry game, all that goes away and it's anyones game!
This game went into two overtimes, with the final score 30-29 ASU! UofA's kicker missed both field goal attempts (they were blocked), the first time causing the game to go into OT, then the second time causing them to loose the game. Steve and I were watching it at home and by the end of the game, the house was a wreck! Pillows were tossed, papers were on the floor, we were shocked! Talk about a spike in blood pressure! I'm sure we wouldn't have voices today had Peyton not been asleep. :)
This game completely made up for the entire (not so fun... or fair?) football season. The football Gods finally smiled on ASU!
