Last Wednesday we were supposed to have Peyton's final helmet check-up, but because of his ear infection drama the night before, we had to reschedule.
So yesterday was the day! It had been five weeks since his last one (remember he was released to wearing it at night only, so it was okay to go this long). His measurements hadn't changed in nearly 8 weeks, so it was good to know he wasn't regressing. We were given the okay to stop treatment and I felt like he deserved a certificate of completion or at least a mini graduation ceremony. It's a big deal!
However, Steve & I decided to have him continue wearing it at nights for another 3-4 weeks. We were told this decision is up to us, and completely reasonable. Perhaps we're being anal, but we don't care! We're taking no chances!
We won't be going back for another appointment, we're just supposed to stop within 4 weeks and be done for good. We're both happy with the results and to this day I would tell any parent who's considering doing this to DO IT.
We're very thankful we made the decision to go with this and the end result for Peyton is not only a nice round head, but a very expensive toy. It's one of his favorites! :)

Yay!!
