Last night we went to Hava Java to get a coffee (well I got a Bare Naked juice, no coffee for me, tear). It's a cute little coffee shop with gelato next door, always booming.
While we were ordering, Peyton headed outside and sat down at a table all on his own (we could see him the whole time). Of course we were watching him like a hawk, then Steve noticed he was talking to someone. We look over and there's a guy sitting at a table a few rows down and he was totally attentive to Peyton, shaking his head and talking back.
When we got out there, we could here Peyton rambling stuff to him and we started laughing. The nice guy said they just had a full on conversation. I asked if he was able to understand anything Peyton said and he replied, "Well, he told me there's a blue car (parked across the street), his name, he's wearing two crocs, he likes the smell of his blankie I think?, and he's two years old." WOW! That sounds like a typical Peyton conversation alright!
When we left, Peyton said bye to him and the guy looked at me and said, "He's gonna be a public speaker someday, he has no fear."
That kept us smiling for the rest of the night.
